Our History: At the young age of 15, Mr. Savino started his life-long career in the funeral industry. He has brought over 20years of experience to Savino Funeral Home, and has previously owned and managed other funeral homes in New York and Florida. Bill has dedicated his life to serving others, and his attention to detail and compassion are emphasized by the meticulous care he has put into Savino Funeral Home in Margate. He has made sure that every family - regardless of religious affiliation- feels comforted and at ease during life's most difficult challenge.

Our Staff: Michael Gendron
Funeral Director

Michael comes from New England originally. After graduating from the mortuary science program from Lynn University in Boca Raton, Florida,he returned back to New England to join his family in the funeral business. After selling the family business in 1999, he moved to Florida to continue serving people in their time of need.
Michael is a member of the Araba Shriners, Fraternal Order of Eagles,Benevolent Protective Order of Elks, Moose Lodge, Sons of the American Legion, St. Andrew's Catholic Church and National Funeral Directors Association. he enjoys golfing, traveling and spending time with his family and friends. Michael lives in Cape Coral with his wife Melanie and son Tristan.

Melanie Gendron
Funeral Director

Melanie is originally from New England. She graduated the mortuary science program at Lynn University in Boca Raton, Florida. Following graduation, Melanie moved back to new England with her husband Michael to join the family funeral home. She later moved to Florida with her husband and began a career in real estate. She has most recently completed the Radiologic Technology Program at Edison College and concurrently pursuing her career in the family funeral business. Melanie is a member of St. Andrew's Catholic Church. She enjoys traveling and spending time with her family and friends. Melanie lives in Cape Coral with her husband Michael and son Tristan.

Paul Gendron
Funeral Director Asst.
Paul is from New England originally. He graduated from New England Institute of Funeral Service in Boston. Paul has over 40 years experience in the funeral industry. He is a member of the Sons of American Legion and Benevolent Protective Order of Elks. He enjoys golfing, boating and spending time with his family. He lives in Cape Coral with his wife Dee.

Daniel Keating
Apprentice Embalmer

Dan was born in Boston, Massachusetts and remained a local until moving to Cape Coral, Florida in 2003. Like many who find their way to the paradise of Southwest Florida, he is an avid boater, frustrated fisherman and a golfer still hopeful for that first hole-in-one. He especially enjoys spring time in Fort Myers and the opportunity to watch the Red Sox begin each new season.
Dan attended the University of Massachusetts and graduated from Boston College. After relocating, he expressed an interest in helping families implement their funeral arrangements and served as an assistant at several local funeral homes.During that time, he also became licensed as an Embalmer Apprentice and is currently enrolled in the Funeral Services Program at Saint Petersburg College. Upon completion of this program he plans to pursue licensure as a Funeral Director and Embalmer.
